Perfect pets are being euthanized every single day — not because they’re sick or unsafe, but simply because there’s no room.

Our shelters are at full capacity. Many are turning away companion animals entirely, and heartbreaking numbers are being abandoned on the streets, in the deserts, and left without hope.

Right now in California, perfect cats and dogs, loving horses, farm animals, rabbits, guinea pigs — even children’s beloved pets — are losing their lives for no other reason than lack of space and adopters.

When we learned that Roxy, a sweet Rottweiler who passed every temperament test, and her little Boston Terrier mix friend were about to be euthanized, we couldn’t let it happen. They are safe at LBWF today — but only because of you. 

The five animals we’re sharing with you today were all on the euthanasia list. They’re alive because of your donations, compassion, and belief in our mission.

The crisis is overwhelming — fires, evacuations, and no state resources to help — but we will keep fighting. Because for so many right now, we are their only chance.
