For over 40 years, I’ve known that my true life’s work began when I realized I could use my voice and celebrity for those who don’t have one. For decades, I’ve been on the front lines fighting against the horrific reality of animal experimentation, systemic abuse, and the tragic cycle of pet overpopulation.

It breaks my heart that right now, thousands of animals are suffering in silence behind laboratory doors. That’s why I am a proud, fierce supporter of the Beagle Freedom Project. @beaglefreedom

Why Beagles?
Because of their docile, forgiving nature, Beagles are the primary breed chosen for cruel lab testing. They are kept in cages, never seeing the sun or feeling grass under their paws—until BFP steps in.

* Rescue: They negotiate the release of animals from labs.
* Rehabilitation: They give these survivors the medical care and love they’ve never known.
* Advocacy: We are working to change laws so that “cruelty-free” isn’t just a label, but a standard.

Shelter Animals & Local Rescues
But the fight doesn’t stop at the lab door. Every day, millions of incredible animals sit in overcrowded shelters, waiting for a second chance. My heart is always with the shelter animals and local rescues who are working tirelessly to save lives.

When we support our local shelters and choose to adopt, not shop, we are actively fighting against the neglect and abandonment that fuels animal suffering. These animals have so much love to give—they just need a hero to notice them.

I’ve seen the look in a dog’s eyes when they realize they are finally safe, whether they are coming out of a cage in a lab or a kennel in a shelter. It’s a transformation that never gets old, and it’s what keeps me fighting every single day.
